Be part of a multidisciplinary team built with compassion and the
goal of Moving Health Forward for you and our patients. Assists in
coordinating, planning, implementing and facilitating programs and
counseling services on an outpatient basis. The Outpatient
Therapist's responsibilities may include several of the following
areas: individual, group and family counseling, crisis
services/evaluation, tele-therapy services, and current and future
groups/programs. All of these areas may involve providing
assessments, facilitating treatment and crisis intervention of
clientele affected by mental health or dual diagnoses issues.
Providing community/education services will be a part of this
position and some travel is occasionally required.
Adheres to policies which assure the confidentiality of client
communications. Provides for a multi-disciplinary, holistic
approach to the treatment of clients, coordinating same with
appropriate hospital departments.
Conducts individual, family, or group therapy sessions in
accordance with accepted principles of the National Association of
Social Workers.
Documents therapy in accordance with hospital policies and
procedures on medical records.
Intervenes as a crisis counselor in situations requiring immediate
psychological treatment such as substance abuse, suicide attempts,
psychotic episodes and other instances as outlined in hospital
policy.
Coordinates client/patient billing and modify treatment program in
accordance with insurance coverage, plan provisions, and individual
ability to pay.
Provides educational programs on a variety of psychological topics
to hospital/community groups as requested.

Required Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
Licensed Professional Counselor - Mental Health (LPC-MH) -

- Licensing Board An active license in the state of practice Upon
Hire or
Preferred Education, License/Certification, or Work Experience:
- Licensed Addiction Counselor (LAC) - Department of Health and
Human Services An active license in the state of practice Upon
Hire
-4-6 years Related experience and/or training
- Clinical experience facilitating group therapy sessions and
providing individuals counseling services
- Experience working with clients having dual diagnoses issues
(addictive disorders in conjunction with mental health
conditions)
- Clinical experience with couples and/or family therapy
