Job Summary
The Sonographer is responsible to provide cardiac ultrasound scans
as directed by physician. Performs all duties and responsibilities
in such a way as to demonstrate and support the hospital's Catholic
heritage and Avera co-sponsorship values of hospitality, compassion
and stewardship. - Provides care/service in accordance with
regulatory and accrediting agencies standards and Catholic Ethical
and Religious Directives.
Education and/or Experience
Graduate of an A.M.A. cardiovascular technology school and RDCS/RCS
registry required. - One year of experience preferred. Must have a
working knowledge of cardiac and vascular pathology. -
6 months to 1 year experience
Equivalent Combination of Education and Experience:
Associates degree or equivalent from a two-year college or
technical school; six months to one year related experience and /or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
required.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
RDCS/RCS required within 6 months of hire. - Current CPR
certification or completion upon next available program.
Work Schedule
Day Shift: 7:30 am - 4:00 pm; Monday - Friday - -
Weekend Rotation: -Typically one -weekend/month -
Holiday -Rotation: Approximately every 3rd -
72 hours per 2 weeks
Sign on Bonus $10,000
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. The actual
hourly rate is dependent upon experience.
$30.25-45.75 -per hour
